Mr. Tomasik (7th/Math)

Mr. Tomasik earned his B.S. in Adolescent Education with a concentration in Mathematics from Canisius College. He earned a Masters Degree in Differentiated Instruction from Canisius College as well. Mr. Tomasik is a strong believer in Catholic education. 

Sixth Grade: We are currently working on multi-digit decimal operations. Students will be adding, subtracting, and multiplying multi-digit decimals. Students are also dividing a fraction by a fraction.

Seventh Grade: Students are currently working on a rational numbers unit. They will be adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing positive and negative numbers.

Seventh Grade Accelerated: Students are currently working on a powers, scientific notation, square roots, and cube roots. In addition, students will be adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing numbers in scientific notation. They will be able to tell how many times larger the population of one city is compared to another.

Eighth Grade: Students are currently working on graphing linear equations. Students will be graphing lines from standard notation as well as in slope-intercept form. Students will also describe the slope and y-intercept of the lines.

Algebra: Students are currently working on graphing linear equations. Students will be graphing lines from standard notation as well as in slope-intercept form. Students will also describe the slope and y-intercept of the lines. In addition, students will graphing scatter plots, drawing lines of best fit, and making accurate predictions based on their line of best fit.
